SENIOR SOCIAL
SYSTEMS DESIGNER

We are looking for a Senior Social Systems Designer with a strong understanding of systems that drive player interaction, expression, and community. You bring experience designing and implementing features such as friends lists, guilds/alliances, matchmaking systems, cooperative modes, and event frameworks. Your work focuses on creating engaging, meaningful, and sustainable social experiences that align with the creative, game, and product directions of a free-to-play mobile game.

ABOUT YOU

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of in-game social systems such as guilds, chat, friends lists, gifting, and multiplayer features that deepen community engagement.

  • Analyze player behavior and feedback to refine features and improve social experiences, using both real-time data and long-term trends.

  • Partner with design, engineering, and data teams to develop and launch scalable systems that support player-to-player interactions, content sharing, and positive community growth.

  • Identify and respond to social friction points—such as toxicity, exclusion, or unbalanced systems—by proposing and testing solutions that promote a healthy in-game culture.

  • Design experiments, run A/B tests, and use insights to drive iteration on social features and events.

  • Collaborate with engineers to define tooling that automates social events and live content, ensuring repeatable systems that scale across content drops and seasonal updates.

  • Conduct user research and analyze qualitative feedback to better understand the motivations behind player interactions and guide product decisions accordingly.

  • Stay current on trends in social gameplay, live service mechanics, and mobile gaming communities, and use that knowledge to influence the product roadmap.

  • Continuously measure the success of new social features and make data-informed adjustments to maximize player satisfaction and retention

DETAILS

  • Full time:- 40 hours per week

  • Salary range: $90K - $120K annually CAD
