SENIOR RENDERING ENGINEER

Drop Fake is working on our first game. We are a remote-first games company founded in 2021. We are building a cross-platform strategy game that will be open and available to all.  


The Senior Rendering Engineer will refine and expand our existing rendering system. They will use their skills towards creating shaders, GPU programming, and creating modern rendering pipelines.

ABOUT YOU

  • You want to drive development technical designs and implementation plans for new rendering features, based on art & design requirements.

  • You enjoy working closely with artists and technical artists to achieve high quality visual results, within each platform's performance budget.

  • You have a deep understanding of rendering architecture, pipelines and runtime optimization.

  • You have hands-on experience in designing real-time rendering systems, features and optimizing real-time graphics.

  • You are proficient in C# programming, Unity engine and have strong debugging skills.

  • You have experience with Unity’s Scriptable Rendering Pipeline, including knowledge of URP or HDRP.

  • You have the ability to anticipate technology risks and provide updates on obstacles to project leads.

  • You want to have a hand in shaping the long-term technical roadmap for the game engine.

  • You have experience in video game development, mobile game development, computer graphics or similar fields.

  • You are an excellent communicator and comfortable explaining technical information across varying degrees of understanding.

The Senior Technical Artist will act as a bridge between the artists and engineers. They will use their technical eye towards high visual fidelity asset optimization. The main areas of responsibilities include art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, character rigging, and brilliant shader development.
