Lead Client Engineer

Drop Fake Inc is looking for a Client Lead to spearhead the technical foundation and client architecture for our new mobile fighting game. We need a seasoned engineering leader with deep Unity expertise and a track record of shipping complex mobile titles. In this role, you’ll balance high-level architecture with hands-on coding, collaborating across teams to turn creative concepts into a polished, scalable game.

ABOUT YOU

  • 7+ years of professional mobile game development experience, with at least 3+ years in a Senior or Lead capacity shipping successful commercial titles.

  • Advanced knowledge of C# and standard Unity design patterns, with extensive experience managing server driven features and telemetry.

  • Strong understanding of mobile specific constraints, graphics pipelines (URP), memory management, and asset bundling/addressables.

  • Proficient with version control (Git) and automated build systems (Unity Cloud Build and/or GitLab CI/CD) tailored for mobile deployment.

  • 3+ years experience with Unity Addressables and Unity Cloud Content Delivery (CCD), including asset bundling, remote content updates, catalog management, and live content deployment.

  • Background in developing live-ops driven games with real-time multiplayer or deep social infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with profiling tools (Unity Profiler, Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler).

  • Architect, write, and maintain clean and reusable client-side code in Unity/C# that interfaces flawlessly with our proprietary backend engine.

  • Partner closely with the server team to implement network protocols, ensuring low-latency data synchronization, secure state management, and seamless real-time social features.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex client-side bottlenecks (CPU, GPU, memory, and bandwidth) to ensure exceptional frame rates and stability across a wide range of iOS and Android devices.

  • Work hand-in-hand with Producers, Creatives, and Product Managers to transform design and feature requirements into technical realities.

  • Oversee client build pipelines, technical app store submission requirements (App Store / Google Play), and live-ops technical deployment.

  • Own the client-side implementation and maintenance of Unity Addressables and Cloud Content Delivery workflows, ensuring efficient remote asset loading, catalog updates, content versioning, and live-ops content deployment.
